Trama: Nel mondo esistono cinque grandi razze, di cui l'umanità non è che la più debole; nonostante ciò, grazie alla guida del cosiddetto "Sid il Profeta", gli esseri umani sono riusciti a sconfiggere le altre razze e a prendere il controllo del pianeta. Da 100 anni, quindi, le quattro fazioni sconfitte sono sigillate all'interno di altrettante piramidi sparse per il mondo. Un giorno, tuttavia, la realtà viene riscritta: Kai, un giovane soldato, sembra essere l'unico ad avere memoria della vittoria dell'umanità. Nella nuova realtà demoni e draghi hanno il controllo della Terra e Sid non sembra essere mai esistito; come se non bastasse, nessun essere umano, neanche i suoi amici d'infanzia, sembra conoscere Kai.
