Trama: Takuya e Rika sono colleghi all'interno della JTC, una rinomata agenzia di viaggi di Tokyo. Negati entrambi nella socializzazione, i due vivono però vite solitarie che trovano più che soddisfacenti. Quando l'agenzia decide di aprire una nuova sede in Alaska, tuttavia, le loro vite tranquille rischiano di trovarsi in pericolo: entro un anno, infatti, uno dei dipendenti verrà trasferito nella nuova sede e la scelta ricadrà obbligatoriamente su uno dei dipendenti non sposati. Takuya, molto affezionato al proprio gatto, è pronto ad abbandonare il posto di lavoro pur di non rischiare di doversene separare... quand'ecco che la silenziosa Rika gli propone un piano: far credere alla dirigenza di essere promessi sposi e di aver programmato il matrimonio di lì a pochi mesi. I due cercano quindi di ingannare tutti per salvare le proprie vite da single, rendendole però pian piano sempre meno solitarie.
